As we approach the buzz of Christmas you might feel the call of calm, quiet mountain air. Whether you are the action man daydreaming of deep powder, the father with little ski bombs by your side, craving Swiss raclette, or more interested in discovering the ultimate mountain escape, SCRUBD has the top ski destinations to satisfy your longing.
A Gastronomic dream in Zürs, Austria
Off piste heaven, Zürs is one of Austria’s smaller resorts, nestled in the heart of the Alberg ski region at 750meters. It has also been dubbed the gastronomic capital of the eastern Alps, with countless excellent restaurants and eateries, although the nearby Alpenblick Gasthof restaurant in Zug is certainly the best when it comes to the traditional experience. Look forward to local delicacies like Wiener Schnitzel, fondue and cheese strudel followed up with some Austrian Schnapps to warm you through. All served under the watchful eye of host, Karl Heinz Zimmermann, who catered at Formula 1 events in decades gone by.

Snow as far as the eye can see in Whistler, Canada
For the SCRUBD man looking a little further afield, Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains (at 650 up to 2,285meters) form the largest ski area in North America, with the longest runs. This beautiful resort receives plenty of dry snow, falling lightly on the upper piste, making it the powder hound’s dream. As well as skiing the whole area, make sure you go up on the Peak 2 Peak 360 Gondola for the breath-taking panoramic views.

And finally the ultimate SCRUBD ski destination
Possibly one of the best known and most expensive ski resorts in the world, enjoyed by many SCRUBD men, Hollywood A-listers and the worlds rich and famous, no list would be complete without a nod to Aspen. Here looking your best is maybe more important than your level of skiing proficiency… or maybe not. With the sweeping slopes in the daytime and the array of stylish bars and restaurants in town, the only place to go is Matsuhisa from famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa (if you can get a reservation) – and if you do, make sure you order the ‘Omakase’ Tasting Menu. The SCRUBD man in Aspen needs it all; protection from the cold in the day and reviving tired dry skin for a healthy complexion and glow in the evening.
